“Holding hands may seem like an innocent gesture, but they show more than a simple interlocking of fingers. Your hands are one of the most essential parts of your body: you build with them, feed with them, hold with them, touch with them, fight with them; they are the tools of the human body. To take a hold of another’s hand is to break from living individually. It is to link yourself to another being, to momentarily entwine your life with another’s, to promise, for a moment, that you need not face the world alone. More simple, more aesthetically naive than other forms of affection, i.e kissing, hugging, sexing, the act of holding hands is often trivialized in its true implications. As the Beatles once said: ”All I want to do is hold your hand.”—(via bigsmoochfromelle)
I believe that you'll never get anywhere in life until you believe with every bit of your heart that you are worth something more than what this world has to offer. If you are going to lose something, lose your inhibitions. If you're going to gain something, gain intelligence. If you're going to hate anything, hate the idea that you aren't capable of accomplishing your dreams. Life is a mystery, not a question to answer. Always follow your heart, it'll take you down the best path. Don't listen to your doubts, or anyone who doubts you. Seek not to find who you are, but to determine who and how you want to be. Stop looking for a purpose and create one. Life is not a process of discovery, but a process of creation. To get the best out of life, face your past with no regret. Handle the present with confidence, and prepare for the future without fear.
